About the cover art  

XLVIII:2 (2003)

The cover shows a detail of Barbara Skurakowicz-Jakubiec’s 1997 painting Los Olvidados [The Forgotten].  The artist, who was born in Poland and completed the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań , now lives in Montréal.  Her work is to be found in private collections throughout the world, including Poland , Canada , the United States , France , Belgium , Sweden , Brazil , Algeria and South Africa .
