About the cover art  

The cover of number LIII.03 shows an oil painting by Tadeusz Makowski entitled "Dwie dziewczynki w kapeluszach" ("Two Girls in Hats").  The painting is from the collectin of the Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences of America.
